I loved the premise of this. Tom introduces an alphabet game to his friend Natalie, in which they do an activity for each letter of the alphabet, in order to get her to move on from her ex-boyfriend, Simon. Alongside this story, there are sub-plots including the marriage of Natalie’s parents, and Tom’s brother and his wife (Patrick and Lucy). Generally, I thought it was well done, although I think that Lucy’s story did deflect a lot of the focus from the main plot. It is also incomprehensible as to why Natalie is so in love with Simon given Noble’s description and why it takes her so long to notice that Tom is the one for her. However, readers of the story will be satisfied by the expected happy ending.
